Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, saying, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.” Matthew 2:1-2 NKJV
These wise men were astrologers and or astronauts. Back then, both astrologers and astronauts were grouped together. They had been engaged in studying the sky and stars and saw a different star in the sky when Jesus was born. Out of curiosity, they followed this star and it eventually led them to the stable in which Jesus was born.
The wise men were men of reputation and wealth in their country. We are not told exactly what country they came from, only that it was a country to the east of Israel. They followed the star to where Jesus lay, worshipped him and gave him their gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh (.Matthew 2:11 -12).
The evidence of God’s existence indeed exists in nature. We only have to look around us; the skies, the stars, the ocean and ocean life, plants, animals and humans.
In humans, the transition from conception to birth is truly awesome. In some animals, it’s simply breathtaking to see the transition from egg through larva to pupa and then a full-grown butterfly or insect. There are currently about 7.5 billion people in the world but each person has a different DNA! These are all mind-blowing facts that could not occur randomly but by actual design. Scientists have called some of these laws and these laws cannot be altered. For example, the fact that a body would continue in its state of rest or of uniform motion in a straight line unless an external force acts on it.
Some people acknowledge the fact that there’s a God but they do nothing about this belief. Others believe that God exists but approach him through other mediums.
Even as God put the star in the sky to lead the wise men to baby Jesus, He has also placed several things around you and in your life to lead you to Jesus.
I pray that as you acknowledge the existence of God, you will be led to Jesus. Wise men still seek Jesus.
